One Processing Solution for Multiple Scandi Standard Factories
A newly designed processing line is currently being installed at Scandi Standards factory in Norway. This line will become the standard for their processing lines in all their factories.
The design of processing line is the result of a close partnership with the customer. They presented us with a need to optimize the sorting of biproducts and get a more coherent production layout.
Throughout the project the Scandi Standard project manager has worked closely with both the Mechanical and Production Engineers at Carsoe to design a high-yield production line that ensures high quality products and an optimized use of biproducts.
Economies of scale
The new production equipment benefits from economies of scale. With the processes and equipment streamlined across their factories, service and maintenance of the equipment will be more efficient as the layout and the spare parts are standardized.
In addition, the uniform way of processing the products and biproducts will make it easier to maintain a consistent and high quality and ensure the best possible utilization of the product.
Ergonomic working conditions
Good working conditions are vital for Scandi Standard. The equipment is only one part of their processing site and the factory workers are a key element to producing high quality products in the optimum production flow.
Therefore, we have put a lot of effort into designing a processing line that ensures a correct working position. This includes the right height on the tables and short reach distances when the factory workers are sorting the products.
